KETOPRAK JAKARTA |
Ketoprak Jakarta is one of the famous traditional food in Indonesia. It is mainly popular in Jakarta as it the local food in the city. The ingredients used in the dish are fried tofu, lontong (rice steamed in a banana leaf), sliced cabbage and cucumber, bihun (thin rice vermicelli), bean sprouts, served in peanut sauce, topped with krupuk and fried shallots. All those delicious ingredients will be perfected by peanut sauce, which is made from ground peanut and palm sugar made into a thick paste, mixed with garlic, chili pepper, salt and also sweet soy sauce). Ketoprak is sold in small stalls or carts along the street. The price may vary from IDR 5.000 to 10.000 according to ingredients included. Some sellers add hard boiled egg on the dish. Ketoprak is nearly similar to lotek and karedok from West Java, gado-gado from Jakarta and also pecel from Central Java, even though the ingredients in the peanut sauces are slightly different. Justification of #1 Design Planning :
The features that I used for this design planning are title, text, divider and slideshow.
Firstly, I used different colors to make the article interesting to the viewer of my website. I also use divider to create two columns because it will look neater and simpler rather than long and heavy layout if I didn't divide the content.
I prefer to use slideshow and write caption on each picture because people can see the animation of images moving while they read the description.
The links of the source must be included to respect the validity of the sources I used and to highlight the effort of the people who originally wrote the article and originally taken the images.

The features that I used for this design planning are title, text, image, divider and youtube video.
Firstly, I used different colors to make the article interesting to the viewer of my website. I also use divider to create two columns because it will look neater and simpler rather than long and heavy layout if I didn't divide the content.
I prefer to use image (not gallery or slideshow) because I only have one image of the food. I embed the video link from youtube so the viewers of my website who are interested on the food can learn to prepare the delicious dish.
The links of the source must be included to respect the validity of the sources I used and to highlight the effort of the people who originally wrote the article and originally taken the images.

The features that I used for this design planning are title, text, divider, slideshow and map.
Firstly, I use divider to create two columns because it will look neater and simpler rather than long and heavy layout if I didn't divide the content. Then, I use gallery to display the images of the food. I also include the feature map to inform the viewers of my website who are interested on the food where they can enjoy the food in Jakarta.
I use simple black font to keep the viewers' interest on the picture, not on the paragraph.

The Best Design Layout is ... #2 Design Planning
I choose the #2 design planning to be used as the layout of all my 36 articles because it's the design that has everything (information, picture and video). I have the complete pictures and videos in youtube to be used in all of my articles.
Embedding image and youtube video is also very easy. The process doesn't take lots of time. I just need to watch the youtube video first to make sure that the content of the video matches to the content of my article.
The various color usage in the description is also a pretty idea to keep the viewers interested on reading the article.
